Daniel Buren hat anlässlich der aktuellen Wiederaufführung seiner Arbeit “À partir de là” im alten Städtischen Museum und in erklärter Hommage an Johannes Cladders eine neue Edition für den Museumsverein geschaffen.
Sie ist entstanden aus dem Stoff, den er in seinen historischen Beständen fand und für die aktuelle Wiederaufführung nutzte.
Anknüpfend an seine erste Jahresgabe, die Buren im Jahr 1973 für die Mitglieder des Museumsvereins Mönchengladbach entwarf, ist es wieder ein Démultiple: ein künstlerisches Multiple, das sich aus einer zerschnittenen Großform erklärt und mit einer Hängeanweisung versehen ist.
Es liegt in der Verantwortung der Käufer, die jeweiligen Stücke an originaler Position anzubringen, d.h. in identischer Höhe und Position auf einer gewählten Wandfläche.
Jedes Teilstück ist rückseitig nummeriert (1-30), das Zertifikat enthält eine Abbildung des Gesamtstücks mit einer handschriftlichen Eintragung von Buren, die das jeweilige Unikat an seiner ursprünglichen Position markiert.
Bei der Bestellung der Jahresgaben können Wünsche bezüglich der Anbringungsorte und damit bezüglich der Auswahl des Teilstücks genannt werden.
